Fathers 4 Justice was formed two years ago this December by Matt O'Connor and Tony Lewis and launched when 200 members dressed as Santa stormed the Lord Chancellors offices in London.
Fathers 4 Justice is a non-violent direct action campaign group using civil disobedience with a touch of humour to campaign on behalf of children to have a loving and meaningful relationship equally with both parents after divorce or separation. A starting point of 50 / 50 residence. If a parent cannot manage 50%, they will give time away rather than fight to gain time ( or access! ).
The UK has around 12,000 members. 30% of members are female. Our members consist of non resident mothers, non resident fathers, resident mothers, resident fathers, grandparents, second wives, brothers, sisters and those who were denied access to one of their parents as a child.
We are established in the UK ( HQ ), Australia, Canada and Holland. The USA is on the launchpad and countdown has begun. We have members and supporters from New Zealand to Vancouver, from Chile / Peru to Alaska and include members in China, Russia, Jordan, Mexico, South America, Southern Africa, Bahrain, much of Europe and Scandinavia.
Protests are pledged in New Zealand, Australia, Malta, Mexico, Holland, South America, Canada and around 10 US states.
2005 will see an unprecedented Rising around the world against family law.
